Well, a very dear friend of mine, that sadly has (surely caused my temporary insanity) chosen to become an exchange student in Russia, complained about my tendancy to blog minimally if ever... OK here I go, trying to write something to read.

So what is probably most active in my life (beside my friends) is the theatre society, we have been working like crazy monkeys to find the core cast... well not we as in me but as in the directors... and since we are going to show which is a musical we need to check wether people can sing or not... son auditions!!!! :D GLEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! or not so much... well I went to the first song audition, did extremely well I believe, then after the work weekend I was called for another song audition which was today and I did HORRIBLY!!!! so now i dont have a clue as to wether i am going to get a part or not... well I dont think I will get the part I was hoping for (Lock, Shock or Barrell translated names are Hrellir, Skellir og Gumsi)
parts I would happily accept:
The mayor
Jack -Not gonna happen (not that excited about it either way, he is a bit... boring)
Dr. Finkelstein
Ooggie Boogie -Not gonna happen... lets wonder why for a bit...

Parts I'd be OK with:
Igor
Santa Claus -Not gonna happen... I think my figure is a bit lakking in the saint nick department

hmmmm... do you think I am beeing a bit demanding?

Anywho... so off to the next subject.. there is this inter-school competition in adlib called "Leiktu betur" or translated: act better. Anyway the pre competition to decide which team would be competing on the schools behalf was on thurday.
maybe I should explain how it works....:
there is a team consisted of four people, the team captain and three other people. Two teams compete in one round. The introducers decide on a way to pick a team that decides who challenges the other team... a bit tricky i'll admit but try to follow.. ok so they decide this with a coin toss, a little challange or like in our case singing and rock paper scissors... so, if a team wins lets say a coin toss they decide wether they challenge the other tem or get challenged, usually they decide to challenge. So the team captain (after conversing with the rest of the team) say for example "We challenge you at the best school adlib (the school part is the theme of the adlib piece), do you accept?", then the proper reply would be from the other captain "YES! we happily accept this challenge and we are going to do this school adlib in typewriter-style (the style sets the rules the adlib must follow)". The typewriter-style has these rules, there must be a writer sitting on a chair at the front side of the stage, s/he tells a story (b.t.w. the writer MUST act aswell, s/he must put on a character like any other person on the stage because if s/he dosn't s/he is NOT acting) and while s/he tells the story the other people in the team act out the story, taking on characters and playing out situations, sometimes the write will say "and when I walked up to the priest I said ..." now its up to the person that is acting the writer (the writer is not required to be writin about him or herself) to make up something (and of course it helps if its consistent to the story) and maybe say "im here for the wedding"... ok.. I think that explains the typewriter-style. Now, each team must complete the piece in 3 min. after 2:30 the time-frog (called a time frog where im from because the first time frog was in a frog costume) walks into the stage showing that they have 30 sek. to finish up, when three minutes have passed the timefrog stops the piece. Now after the team has done its thang the judges, who are three well informed people, score the team for entertainment value, technique and storyline then give them points from 1-5 (so the highest you can get for one segment is 15 points... very rare). NOW its time for the the other team to do the school adlib in some other style, they do it, judges judge and points are give, then this team challenges the first team for another themed adlib... like hell-themed one or something and the whole thing is repeated and then the points are tallied and the team with the most keeps on competing... and this is how my team won the competition with two VERY formidable teams and one we did not have the chance to take on.
Lets see, my school has won this competition both years this competition has taken place so my team has a mild amount of pressure upon us... WERE GONNA DIE!!!!!!

YAY! my sister is in the country!!! She came last night when I started writing this blogg, I love her so much, she lives in Denmark with her totally awsome husband and her adorable little daughter (she is eerely intelligent).. I look up to her even moreso when she was taller then me :P she is a very strong woman and she has gotten farwith her life I believe but I wish she'd just take better care of her emotional self... she is highly stressed and a bit emotional... I think she could use a session with a healer... (as do other people, you know who you are ;p)

Now to have something left for future blogs i am going to desist this rambling and leave you to the comments... cuz if you dont.. *shakes fist*

~peace is out... I think its at Nonni's
